فعلکمکی can یعنی ( توانستن، اجازه داشتن) حال است و گذشته آن could میباشد. مثال
مثال: من امروز میتوانم فوتبال بازی کنم.(حال) .I can play football today دوستم پارسال میتوانست دوچرخه سواری کند (گذشته) .My friend could ride the bicycle last year
طرز و روش سوالی و منفی کردنcan و could : can و could چون هر دو از افعال کمکی هستند برای سوالی کردن جای آنها را با فاعل عوض میکنیم و برای منفی کردن پس از آنها کلمه not را می آوریم. به مثالهای زیر در مورد طریقه سوالی و منفی کردن can و could توجه فرمایید.
مثبت .I can speak English now سوالی ?Can I speak English now منفی .I can not speak English now
مثبت .I could speak English last year سوالی ?Could I speak English last year منفی .I could not speak English last year
توجه :
مخفف can not را بصورت can't و مخفف could not را بصورت couldn't می نویسیم.
فرق بین have to و has to و must
Have to و has to به معنی مجبور بودن و must به معنی باید، حال هستند و گذشته آنها had to یعنی می بایست است.
مثال
طرز و روش سوال و منفی کردن have to: برای سوالی کردن have to به اول جمله Do اضافه می کنیم وبرای منفی کردن آن به اول فعلdo not یا don’t اضافه میکنیم. مثال: .I have to clean my room every day ?Do I have to clean my room every day .I don’t have to clean my room every day
